Norma McCorvey, the “Jane Roe” from the Roe v Wade Supreme Court Decision, was arrested today on the Notre Dame Campus while protesting the visit by Barack Obama. But several online reports contradicts the first reports saying that Norma McCorvey has resisted arrest.
Norma Leah McCorvey (Nelson born September 22, 1947, in Simmesport, Louisiana) is best known by the legal pseudonym “Jane Roe” in the landmark American lawsuit Roe v. Wade in 1973. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that laws legislating against abortion are unconstitutional, overturning individual states’ laws against abortion. Years later she recanted her support of abortion rights, thus becoming pro-life
Busload of protesters was present in the Notre Dame university with their protest signs, some displaying the message “Obama = Abortion” and others showing images of aborted fetuses.
