Me and My Boys’ Dailies

father and sons' routinesThere’s this Question of the week feature on Nice and Amor’s Blog at Mommastuff (for sharing opinions and experiences of mommies parents and stuff), and I am very fortunate enough to get picked as one of the Moms! Can you believe that?! hehehe, just kidding..

Anyway, it’s an honor to be part of the circle of moms, great mom! And reading stuff and activities by these great parents inspire me to do the same for my two little boys.

And so, moving forward.. This week’s question:

Do you have routines for your kids? Care to share? Does it really help?

Do we have routines, the boys and I? I guess so… Great thing about my work is that I get to have 4 days off! Here’s what a typical day whenever I’m at home and not working:

  • Usually wake up around 6:00am or 7:00am (often time Matt’s the one who wake his mommy and daddy)
  • Still at bed, Matt will be requesting a bottle of his milk, 4 ounces (yes, at 2 years old.. may dede parin)
  • Breakfast will be around 8:30am
  • Bath time for Matt is at 9:00am
  • Then it’s Barney and Friends time after bath till 10:00 or 11:00am
  • Another bottle of milk at 10:00am
  • Writing and scribbling and drawing time after ‘brunch’
  • Lunch at 12noon
  • Matt and Sean’s nap time is after lunch, usually 1:00pm
  • Matt will wake up around 3:00pm (then he’ll wake Sean up)
  • The rest of our afternoon will be DVD and drawing/writing.
  • Dinner around 7:00pm
  • Bed time for Matt is around 8:00 or 9:00pm

If we’re not doing the mid-day activities, we’re probably at the Mall killing time. :)
FYI, Sean is 2-months old. I’m expecting a few more months he’ll be joining us with the routines we do everyday. :)

I checked other mom’s routine (both that do have a routine and those who used to have one) and basically, we all do the same things with the breakfast and bath and bed time.. (I need to do that Story telling soon…)

:D
