Learning Shapes, Colors and Animals

The first time I ever did the grocery was couple of years ago. My wife and I usually do the groceries together. It’s like a family thing to do (well, at least for me). This was the time when my wife gave birth to our first born – Matt.

And a couple of days ago, I once again did the groceries by myself (well, mom was with me.. :D ) because my wife must continue resting to prevent premature birth. As just like the first time I did that, I have the list that my wife gave to me… Now, where’s the trust in that? :)

Anyway, there was this small section on the grocery that sells paperback books and second hand books. As always, I searched for any Stephen King books or Beatles books or just about anything that may caught my attention.

And these two did:

Although the Walt Disney book is a little old and already discolored, the content of it is valuable. Anyway, books about learning colors and shapes both new and old still has the same lessons… but this one’s cheaper! :)

Also bought the animal flashcard. I’m thinking of introducing Matthew to the different kinds of animals out there. He already knows, ‘cat’ (he pronounced it ‘ate’), dog, house and bird. Now, it’s time to learn, the flying squirrel, polar bear, armadillo and others that I myself are not familiar with.

And here’s the latest.. he now knows ‘zebra’.. pronounced ‘zeboo’.

  1. hehe, nawili na ako sa site mo, dami ko ng comments. Since madaling matuto ang baby mo, it’s just right to take advantage, for sure bago pa sya mag 2 years old mas marami pa syang alam. I admire you kasi all out ang attention mo sa development ng baby mo. :)
