I Lost My Wallet!

While I was commuting last night, on my way home, I found that I lost my wallet. This was when I was in Cubao MRT station.

Big bummer… Good thing I have shoes or else I’ll be walking around even without flip flops

The Bad News

I have lots of things in my wallet, but the first items that came to mind was the pictures! (Of course that is after I called the credit card company to block my card :) .

My wallet is like my own personal photo album. I have pictures of everyone in there – my son, wife, brothers, sister, mom and dad. I felt sadden to realized that I may have lost (i did lost) the picture of my mom and dad in their younger years (early 30s) with arms around each other and wide grins on their faces.

There was also a couple of Matt’s baby pictures, my niece and nephew and my brothers and sisters. Like some credit card commercial says on TV, those are priceless.

The Good News

Included in my wallet is my company ID. This morning, while scanning emails on my inbox, I got one from Accenture, with the subject “Wallet Found”.

Immediately opened and read it. It says that the guard on duty found my wallet in Guadalupe MRT station. Called them up to confirm and it is true. All of the IDs are there, but unfortunately some Php6000 cash are missing (of course).

But still, I am grateful that someone found it. Saved me the hassle of doing all those ‘Affidavit of Loss’ documents.

Lessons Learned

Buy small wallets. :)
