Advantages (and Disadvantages) Of Siblings With Close Age Gaps
Saw a husband and wife while commuting to work
today. With them are two little toddlers (if not babies). I have no doubt that those children are their sons. Each parent carrying a child.
The couple looked happy. The dad playing with his, probably the first born, the elder one. The mom carrying her son and trying to put him to sleep.
What caught my attention was the age difference of the boys. Both of them are barely babies. The gap could have been not more than 2 years. It’s like the boys are twins.
The situation that i saw right an then reminds me of myself, my wife and my boys – with only 2 years age difference.
Advantage of Siblings With Close Age Gaps
First of all, it’s a lot more happier and merrier. The more kids, the more playful they get! Plus both child will grow up the same and will most probably become buddies.
Another great advantage would be both parents and children age at the same time.
Here are some Disadvantage
Financial – Of course the more you are, the harder it is to support the family financially. If you just starting to raise a young toddler, then suddenly there’s another baby on the way, it’s double the responsibility and double the price of living.
Sibling rivalry – This would be so obvious when both child reach the age or 3 or 5. Rivalry in a way of little petty envy quarrels between the 2 babies are a hand full
These are just some top of my head info, if you have some other suggestions, please comment on it.
