Father and Sons At the Movies - Transformers The Revenge of the Fallen

Father and Sons At the Movies - Transformers The Revenge of the Fallen.. actually, that’s father and sons plus the wife. :)

Yep, today we all went out to see the overrated movie of the year! :), The Transformers Revenge of the Fallen with my wife and two sons… Yes, it’s a Monday and boy if I was to pick why monday is great for movie day, is that the movie cinema is empty! Matthew got to run around inside… :)

Hey, this is another great suggestion for toddler activities… go see a movie with your kids!

Anyway, Megan Fox is still sizzling hot in the movie… (sizzling hot?!). This Transformers movie has more action in it, more air action and more robots! They even have those big Constructicons you probably already saw on the cartoon version!

If you saw the Transformers cartoon movie.. You’ll probably remember OPtimus Prime being killed.. well it’s the same thing here, he got killed but again resurrected (sorry, spoiler).. See the movie, it’s worth your while.

Toddler Activities Suggestions

My 3-year old son has grown so fast from a helpless and fragile infant to a super active toddler! Although he’s still not in pre-school yet, I am looking for some toddler activities that I can engage him on so that his day can be both physically and mentally productive.

I have been searching the web for some example and ideas of run and productive activities for a child not any more a babby but not going to a preschool yet… a toddler. Activities of a toddler of course includes crafts and coloring and other engaging and fun stuffs. And here are some of the things that I found out:

Indoor Toddler Activities

When we say Indoor activities, that’s also means fun and exciting toddler activities at home. These can be played with fun and entertainment, like I said.

Play House

A toddler playing house is one of the best way to keep him entertain. This activity can be both for boys and girls. Let them play around an imaginary kitchen, prepare a make believe pizza or dinner. Important thing is to make it engaging.

Coloring Activities

Toddlers love to make things with this hands and fingers. Let them color some coloring books and other related coloring activities. I bought my son a Dora The Explorer coloring book once.. but he just wrote the alphabet in it.. :) But now, I think he’s ready to do some coloring.

Read Book

Another great activity for a toddler to do inside the house is to read children’s books! Toddlers learn a lot by reading various books. Reading can add fun, joy and enjoyment when books contain stories, fairy tales, fun characters and some fun games.

These are just some example of toddler activities you can do indoors. There are other stuff you can engage your kids in if he still not in preschool yet.

We will post about it next time.

Technology, Learning Aid for Kids and Toddlers

Technology, Learning Aid for Kids and Toddlers… I am a strong believer of this. As a matter of fact, I already written several blog posts which fully coincides with this idea, that technology really do play a big part in educating our children.

Here are some of the earlier posts about it:

.. and there are probably others. The general idea is internet plays a big role in helping our kids learn. WIth these I would like to add ipods in one of the learning tools… Not the mp3-only ipods but the video ipods… Based on my personal experience, my son learned good values on the movies I put in my video ipod.

Technology really is a Learning Aid for Kids and Toddlers

Separation Anxiety

Just want to make a quick post about Separation Anxiety. I saw this special news feature on our local tv station about children going to school for the first time. A Pediatrician or a Psychologist or someone said that the child maybe experiencing separation anxiety when he clings and cries when his parents will leave him to school all by himself.

What is Separation Anxiety?

Separation anxiety is a psychological condition in which an individual (in our case, a child) experiences excessive anxiety regarding separation from home or from people to whom the individual has a strong emotional attachment (like a father and mother). It becomes a disorder when the separation reaction becomes strong enough to impair peoples ability to conduct their day to day lives and relationships.

I wrote about Separation Anxiety on the Blogging Parents blog, go check it out. Thanks!

Teach Child To Be Responsible

Teach Child To Be Responsible in many things. This should be one of the goals that every parent should have. Let our children be aware of everything that surrounds us..

Make them responsible members of society. Teach them to help and support the needy. Make them a member of Blue Cross NC or any other NGO, non government groups.. this will be a big help in developing their personalities when they grow up.

Latest Pictures..

It’s not the latest one, because I haven’t been updating this blog for a while now, but here are some of the pictures of my boys taken a few days back

There’s a few more in my camera’s sd card.. Will download them and post it here too soon.

Norma McCorvey Arrested in Pres. Obama Notre Dame Speech

The Notre Dame university invited President Obama to deliver the commencement address Sunday. This sparks the protest of the anti abortion group since it is public knowledge that President Obama is an advocate of of abortion rights

Norma McCorvey
, the “Jane Roe” from the Roe v Wade Supreme Court Decision, was arrested today on the Notre Dame Campus while protesting the visit by Barack Obama. But several online reports contradicts the first reports saying that Norma McCorvey has resisted arrest.

Norma Leah McCorvey (Nelson born September 22, 1947, in Simmesport, Louisiana) is best known by the legal pseudonym “Jane Roe” in the landmark American lawsuit Roe v. Wade in 1973. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that laws legislating against abortion are unconstitutional, overturning individual states’ laws against abortion. Years later she recanted her support of abortion rights, thus becoming pro-life

Busload of protesters was present in the Notre Dame university with their protest signs, some displaying the message “Obama = Abortion” and others showing images of aborted fetuses.
