New Job, New Responsibility

I’ve been talking about the Canada trip (which doesn’t have schedule still) this August but I still haven’t mentioned that I have a new work now.

Yes, this is a new work, new office, new people, new job descriptions, new responsibilities, new everything.

I left previous company (airline company) from which I have spent my 20 months with, in exchange to this new one (a telecom company in Canada, but a call center bpo here in PH).

Great thing about new jobs is, like I saw new responsibilities. You will get to know new people and learn new stuff.. (but how can I learn new stuff if I am doing nothing?)

Canada Trip

I’m not sure if I mentioned in this blog that I (together with 3 of my work colleagues) will be going to Canada for a few months of training and knowledge sharing.

I don’t think I have, well we are. I’m not sure if we are set to BC Vancouver/Burnaby or on the other side, Ontario/Quebec. What we do know is that we still don’t have the schedule of the flight. :) So yeah, we’re still here at the office doing nothing and waiting for our plane tickets (visa we do have).

My colleagues here wants at least 3 or more months of stay, that means more allowance, but I don’t think I can stay that long. I sure going to miss my wife and two sons, Matthew and Sean.

One of my them even say that he is planning to submit his resume there. He said who knows, he might get a job or something.. I said, sure, try jobs in Chicago but don’t try it in Canada. I think it’s unethical to do that, having been paid all the expenses by the company and all.. :)

Bro’s Going to be a Father Too!

We are four siblings, I’m the second child. We have an ‘Ate’ or eldest sister, and I have 2 younger brother. Nelson, my younger (3rd child) just found out that he’s going to be a father soon too!

First of all, congratulation for the blessings.

I’m not really sure but I think they found about it a few days ago. They had a couple of checkup already with their OB-Gyne and had an trans-vaginal Ultrasound.

Pretty soon, he’ll be discovering lots of things about pregnancy just like what I had when my wife was pregnant (twice).  During the whole pregnancy period he’ll found out that pregnant women tend to have low blood pressure, like 90/60 or something.

He’ll soon also be familiar with medicine that are associated with pregnant women, like vitamins such as moriamin, or natalbez, natalwiz and others. My wife also has this Bricanyl tablet to help her with the immature contractions but hopefully my future sister-in-law will not have to take that one.

Pregnancy is a long period but before he know it, he’ll be carrying his first born on his arms… Welcome to fatherhood!

Problem

Every one has problem and every family has some too.. mine not exempted.

We had this couple problem a few months back that I thought was finished and had put in the past… but apparently, the ‘other side of the story’ suddenly surfaces back in and may have to threaten the once again happy relationship.

Without any warning I was hit again by this problem… I lost appetite and stopped reading those diet pill reviews because during that time, I don’t need one.

The problem or ‘issue’ got worse this time and I had to say something about it.

Good thing its resolved now.

Excited About the Lifehouse Concert

This may not be directly related to fatherhood and all, but it still about my life… come on, daddy needs a little enjoyment time too, right? I may not do some fence installation at home but I still try to be a great daddy.. :D

Anyway, tomorrow night is the Lifehouse concert at the Araneta Colliseum. Show starts around 8:00pm.

A little sad thing about it is that I will be going to the concert alone. Matt and Sean are still babies to go to that kind of place… (but as soon as they can, we will definitely goiong to go to one of those).

I’m Still Here

It has only been a week since I last created a post here in my “Father and Sons” but it really feels like months. I have been pretty occupied with optimizing my ‘money’ blog, with redtube and tube8 and now with the “alamat blog”.

Sorry for that and I will try to post more frequently… also I’ll mentioned here about my new job, also been a major hurdle.

So what have I been up to? Not so much, we just celebrated our (my brother) birthday today. Has a couple of food trip and ate some and (almost) drank some. Dennis brought this wine, but we weren’t able to even taste it.

So, I’m here getting fat and thinking of getting couple of diet pills… anyway, check back soon or you could check out my son’s photoblog for any update on them. :)

Hands On Learning

Here’s a perfect example on the old saying and I qoutes *grin* (intentional spelling)  “that we learn through experience or through hands on.”

brother's laptop say cheez sean..

Here are the brothers with Matt checking his Yahoo Mail and Sean watching.. or Matt’s probably just dowloading videos from Utube. :D

Here’s me because I could not resist but to help my boys surf the internet and download msn… or something.

Matt now knows how to use a laptop with the fingering mouse mechanism thingy. He can click the Yutube videos he wants to watch (mostly ABC, alphabet songs and Numbers, and sesame street and Barney And Friends).

My kids are sooo smart! I should buy myself a couple of champagne and wines and celebrate… I may need wine rack to store all those wines but hey, with the kids such as mine, every single penny is worth spending!

Sean’s Hepatitis A Vaccination

Sean had his 3rd(?) Hepatitis A vaccination yesterday… Sorry, babies have so many vaccination that I lost count. :) It’s not just for hepa A. Apparently the vaccine was 5-in-1.. I just can’t recall the names of the other vaccination.

Will check the baby book later and post all the information I can find here.

Anyway, created this post just to share the pictures taken yesterday at the hospital… Sean and Eli pics…

It took us an hour just to get there and another hour to get back home from the hospital… If we could only afford to rent a plane.. :D or some jet charter company, commuting would be a breeze.

Sean Rolled Over at 4rth Month?

I really forgot or must have gotten to lazy to post it then but my Sean learned to roll to his tummy when he was around or almost in his fourth month.

Now he can easily ‘carry’ himself and make himself on his tummy whenever he wants too.. Here’s a quick sample of it.. Taken during his private learning session (learning the alphabet at 4rth month?! Come on!!)

Original picture really has a nice resolution and looks good in any laptop LCD and viewsonic monitor

Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

greener grassIt has been a while since I last posted an entry here in my Father and Son blog. I’ve been really busy (?) for the past couple of weeks. Or probably just too many things on my mind or other ideas need to be executed.

Anyway, here’s a quick update on what’s happening to the father character of this blog (me) and I’m not even sure if this is appropriate to put in here.

The Greener Grass

It’s a funny thing really. I have made a post on my almost defunct other blog about the trends of resigning employees, and now I have resigned from my job.

Today is my last day.

I have accepted a new job at a BPO/call center company (again?) as their new Unix System Admin (again). Why? COz the grass is greener… the neighbor’s lawn is always greener isn’t it. I just hope I’ve made a correct decision. If not, I’ll may have to quit again, jobless and buy myself a treadmill to keep me fit and blog my life away. :)Fa
